If you are handy with a spanner you could do it yourself.

I done mine. i was Quoted £1000+ to get it done by a Garage.
I had wanted to get it done by a garage to keep up service history, but was not willing to pay out that much to get the headgasket done.
so I done it myself.

And at a fraction of the cost. I would offer to do it but i am in N.Devon

you need head gasket set around £65+P&P on ebay.
Head bolts £25+P&P also on ebay.
Cambelt (Would replace reguardless ofd when it was done last.) £47+P&P Graham Goode Racing

Heads Checked (By local Engineering Firm) and if nessesary skim £60 check £15 if no work required.

Oil Filter and a top Quality oil around £50 depending on oil used.

would be worth checking and changing plugs if nessesary too. while heads are off.

Disagree their Barry.

I done mine in situ. had the heads all off in under 3 hours.

Going back together took longer.

Hardest bit was getting the cams to stay put.

taking off the manifold and headers, turbo and all the other bits would take 3 hours on its own?????

Definatly had the heads off in 3 hours. was on my own without any interuptions.

It is actually quite easy to do in place, ony difficult bit is the rocker cover bolt on the N/s bottom rear. other than that it was a doddle, some of the head blots did not come out in situ, but you pull them out what you can lift the head out.
