Devon Performance & Modified Show 27th July 2008

I would like to get the tickets for the 2008 season as soon as they become available, rather than leaving it to the last min, and have people coming in late and asking for tickets..... so i am opening the 2008 show forums so you can put your names down nice and early..

While I appreciate, many of you will not know if you could have other things on on these Dates.... this is Just to Gauge the Interest and Not the Final List, You will be asked to confirm Closer to the Time.


With the Devon Performance and Modified Show getting Bigger in 2007 it Moved to Exeter Race Course, which is where I anticipate it to Stay for 2007.... (Hoping Sean will confirm)

With SWS only getting the runners up award this year, I am hoping we will be able to retake the Best Club Stand in 2008.....

Yes you will get more room and if you get me a list of who would like to camp overnight soon as i see what i can do.
But as always behaviour would have to be of the highest standard other wise club would be cancelled in the morning.

When you have final numbers and have worked out a stand plan let me know exactly what size pitch you need, the max depth being 15mtrs by what ever length you want and i will give you that exact size to ensure the stand looks good.

The Bottom gate by the diner will be open at 6am which leads into the bottom car park, plenty of space to park and walk about 100yds to the diner.

Not sure we will have any room behind the Gazebo bob...

Not sure if me and paul have this wrong... but we done up a stand plan...

first we measured my car mirror tip to mirror tip and Bumper to bumper..

This gave us the size of each car.
4.3 Meters Long front Bumper to back Bumper.
2.0 Meters Wing Mirror Tip to Wing Mirror Tip

We have been Given a Stand 10M Deep this will give us 2 cars deep Bumper to Bumper leaving 1.4M in between.<!--[if !supportLineBreakNewLine]-->

Next we created a scaled size of the plot 10m x 60 M.... in photoshop.. converted it to inches and scaled it down by dividing by 100 as the shear size was too big..

We created a block to use as the car.. again converted to inched and scaled down by dividing by 100..

We created a 1M block by using the same conversion above.... then we placed the cars in...
and it looks like we will be really struggling for Space yet again....

I have been informed by Phil from UC they have a Plot 100 Meters by 60 Meters... :confused: But i believe this is so they can include some activities.

When I spoke to Sean and then Derek we agreed to allow for 40 cars as there are only 30 on the stand you will have ample room!

We were going of 20 front 20 back ? so thats what Sean came back with.

Yes the pass covers the car and legally sat passengers.

But dont forget to turn up in plenty of time and make sure all cars are in the showground before 0900 as anyone turning up at say 0945 will be made to pay for their passengers.

you shouldnt worry to much on a stand plan

you should just get a rough idea in your own head then when the day comes you can see how much room you got and who has or has not turned up and work it from there :)

im sure if some1 is there early they can relay the plans back to the convoy meet location and then get them in as you wish

It has nothing to do with the orginising of the stand or the show. I have been doing this all the time and i have not stop because of what was happening on the site.

It is a shame you feel like that Kev as most of us on that stand just want to have a good time and a good show. I hope you can reconsider and join us on the stand.

Just in case you guys have not noticed, things are on the Mend... All staff have their posts back... their are no arguments or heated discussions going on... and their is no longer going to be any AGM at the show either...

We are going their to have a good day put on a good show and make an attempt to win best club stand... and get the club back to what it use to be...

If anyone starts arguing then they will be asked to leave... I will also Ask Sean if nessesary to have anyone who causes trouble removed... as we do not want it...

The club is now moving forward and not back... and in order for us all to do this we all have to move on...

Sorry, that would be a EGM, as there wouldnt be enough time to invite the members to attend.
