SWS Christmas Party

Following the result of the poll - now time for you all to stand up and be counted!:biggrin:

Who' s up for this - come on don't be shy get your names down and lets make it a party to remember!:smile:

Also required more volunteers to help me organise this - will need peeps to check venues out, get menus, collect deposits, etc - any offers gratefully accepted.

Time - To be confirmed
Place - To be confirmed - suggestions of venue please, preferably somewhere with good transport links, rooms to let and a good size car park!


(Having looked at the map and the distances between all the different areas I would suggest a fair driving distance for all would be Exeter area).

We have also had suggestions for a rolling road day or similar to coincide with this event and make a day/weekend of it - I think this would be a great idea and would ask, if you guys want this, that someone takes on organisation for this side.:cool:

Here's the bossy bit!:biggrin: Deposits will be being taken for this event in September - if we do not have a minimum of 30 names paid up by 30th September the event will be cancelled.

I Am Sure The N.Devon Leisure Center would offer us the Party room for free....or nearly free:wink: Just have to pay for the food. & Drink.

Plenty of B&B's Travel lodges etc in the Area.

Bristol to Barnstaple is about the same as Bristol to Exeter.

and Plymouth to Barnstaple, going non motorway, is only 65 miles

Plymouth to Exeter is 45 so about 20 miles more to Barnstaple

But i am happy to go where the Majority want.

Times getting on - back off hols now so looking to organise this during Sept - anyone else up for it????

Don't forget a few of us are down redruth/camborne area, measuring distance from plymouth would be a killer not to mention put me off

I'll hang fire until the venue is set but the date will be fine, a saturday would be easiest for me to make anyway.
