The powers that be have been trying to do this (or similar) to bikes for years - never comes to anything, market forces win through :biggrin:

restrictors will be put in via the ECU as is with the WRX, it is restricted to 112MPH this would be dropped to 100.

but their will be ways around this, as we have seen with the WRX.
however, I expect anyone caught doing more than 101 would be prosecuted for removing the restriction.

Simple, buy and import and fit a speedo converter, technically you haven't removed the limiter just bumped it a bit higher, 180mph higher :biggrin:

But as andy says, the government will screw you for all they can nowadays :rolleyes1:

Previously they've tried to limit speed because of a number of acidents and "dangerous driving" but it didn't work as Germany has most of their motorways without speed limit at all and surprisingly it works. There are no more accidents than in any other european country.

This time it's "CO2 emision".....give me a break, first take a look at USA with their average 5.5 liter engines producing more of it than any other country. :mad0245::mad0245::character0110:
