I know its only July, but places do get booked up fast and the question here is..............what do people feel they would like to do this year?
Give the club some feedback please and with a little help, I hope, I'll see what we can organise!
If club members decide they would like parties organised, further questions will follow regarding choice or dates and venues
Thanks
Liz
im easy
u could have a central one for a meal, as im sure there will be local meets where we can have a xmas drink with the locals that cant do a main one

Weve tried a centrally located party before, and it didnt work, because the area we cover is too big.
Although it would be good to have a massive get together, I think it would be better if we did them locally.....although members would have the option to go to the other areas.
Im happy to go with what everyone decides.

Fair comment D and I appreciate its going to be difficult to please everyone!
I was hoping if the club goes for the central option that we could pick somewhere within reasonable travelling distance for most, and if we book far enough in advance maybe some favourably priced accommodation too!

When were you thinking Liz? I know a lot of places book for Novemeber, but I always prefer to go to 'do's' in December....more xmassy feel then

I was thinking of aiming for 1st December which is a Saturday - gives people chance to travel, etc plus its not too far in December so people may not have other do's, like work, etc on till later in the month!

thanks for putting this thread up liz
It would be lovely - and without the stress of a standplan!!!
No worries - I was just concerned if we didn't act soon everywhere would be booked, then we'd have no choices!

Thanks D much appreciated - if a few of us pull together it will be fine - I don't mind taking responsibility for co-ordinating it - will need help with finding a venue and collecting deposits, etc!

That is a great idea Liz but it will be quite hard for a couple people on the 1st as the wales rally is on that weekend:redface:
I will be up for it though, like a afternoon thing :scratchchin:

Rats I knew there was something on, just couldn't remember what!!:rolleyes1:
I would probably like to go to the WRC myself - so that date is probably out then! Will have to be 24th Nov or 8th Dec then??:scratchchin:
Perhaps we will vote on this one when this poll has finished and we've had a decision on whether a central do interests enough people!

I voted a central one, but agree that we will have our own area parties too. With the central one maybe tie a rolling road day or something in with it and make a weekend of it so its more worth while for the people that travel the longer distance, and for people that can only make 1 of the days. Travelling over 100 miles+ for a meal is a bit too much i feel.

Yup, just since Xmas mate.
Sarah's not deliberately avoiding you (though I'll take the 5th over the smell  ) Just been busy with the house and familiy and such so she's not gotten along to many events. We were at Japfest, but you weren't  She's not doing SBO either as she has to work :mad0213:

I know what you mean and this happens with everything from local meets to shows!
Can't always be helped, but we shall see!
I hoping to have booked somewhere and have taken deposits from those going by September. Hopefully the venue we pick will enthuse people to want to go - if not we can abandon early and opt for local meet parties only!
