Mine rattles quietly. Prodrive one now back on. Someone else took theirs off, turned it on end and half a kilo of rust fell out onto the floor!! It was replaced under warenteee but it wasn't very old (neither is mine come to that)

The afterburner back box from scoobyworld should be good for a life time. But im hearing more and more people saying that there backboxes are rusting out.

Think the vortex is a good backbox though a bit expensive if you ask me and judging by the corroding there talking about not good quality inside. Im looking into a scoobytek one at the moment.

blitz nur spec is awesome quality, but be warned, loud. especially loud with a decat. sets off car alarms and the pops and bangs coming from back there are sure to make you a hit with the neighbours. surprisingly, they are absolutely fine on the dual carriageway/motorway.

Love my HKS system, nice and loud, pops and bangs like crazy on the down change, makes pedestrians :sign0187: themselves:innocent0009:

Quite pricey mind.

you get what you pay for. hks and blitz are top of the mountain. you wont be replacing them every two years or rattling with rust. that kind of makes them cheaper in the long run. ironically japanese steel isn't as good a quality as british steel, so there's no excuses for crap stainless exhausts in this country. like most things these days, they're probably made in bloody china.:mad0213:

bob

lol thought there was something in it. I wont be spending that sort of money on an exhaust anyway.

bob
12-03-2007, 23:23 42
There are not many that spend this sort of money on the exhaust...Mind you £500 of this is for the headers and up-pipe. Most the top cars do have the RCMS exhaust mind you...It was designed by Bob Rawle and RCMS put it into production so Bob tells me... There is an extra stabbing in the downpipe for a wideband lambda to be fitted so as the cars lambda can stay in place...Easier for mapper so they tell me....

it seems the vortex is quite popular as exspected because of its proven power gain over most other exhausts and its gr8 burble, keep the votes coming guys..

Oh all thats in the package too, thats not so bad then. headers are usually an expensive bit of kit anyway. Its one to keep in mind later on.

Yeah the vortex does seem to be a goodun shame its expensive and so prone to rusting.
