To any other sci-fi nuts out there New Voyages team ( www.newvoyages.com ) are talking to George Takei (Sulu, Star Trek) about making an appearance in one of the next releases on the net. They have already shot the Next Episode now being edited with Walter Konig (Mr Chekov, Star Trek and also Mr Bester from Babylon 5) making an appearance. Star Trek Magazine no 125 has a Six page article in the new issue. Any one interested in Trek can download the shows for free from the link on their home page, only 3 Episode available at the moment but more in the pipe line. PS I also post on the discussion forum under the Name Spanners, so don't forget to say Hi if you drop in.... :)

Sorry my response was slow but my Sons been hogging the internet this Weekend! The site mentioned is run by fans of the original Trek. As you will know the ship was on a 5 Year mission but the show was stopped after a 3 Year run. The crew at New Voyages are doing the last 2 Years (or trying to) with the aid of a number of Ex-Trek Actors and writers/Directors. The main guy behind the shows is an Elvis impersonator and has plowed all the cash He has made from the Elvis job into the show. It has semi official backing from Paramount, He can continue as long as he makes no money from it. I also believe that some of his set was borrowed by Paramount so they could shot part of an Episode of Enterprise, saved them having to knock up a one off set! I must admit I was surprised by how good the 2nd show was considering the constraints they are working under. If you can accept that the parts of the main people are played by new actors then "In Harms Way" is equal if not better than quite a lot of the original shows!! Ties up a a number of loose ends from the original Trek too......... :)
