You could say, bought a house - changed work locations - barely had a hot minute to get onto the web.

What's been going on around here then?

Still have the car at the moment, although I've taken all the bits off it as I will be selling it within the next month or so :(

Hiya Derek,

Good to see you again mate, sounds like you been busy, is the change of work location anything to do with the sale of the car? Is a company one if memory serves, shame to see it go, but hope you be looking at another one :)

Hiya Derek,

The 2 things are kind of connected, I'm going to be working at our Head Office in Yate most of the time now (hence the house purchase there) so there will be no more B road communting to Derby all the time.

That being the case, it seems stupid to have a company car that costs me £300+ in tax each month and just use it to drive 1 mile to the office each day.

I am therefore getting an A3 TDi - 130 brake and still has a turbo!!!
saving £220 per month in tax and looking to buy a play car later this year.
I'm not sure whether to get a (classic) Scoob or a Caterham style thing!!

At the end of the day, money is at the root of the decision, I'll miss the WRX like mad, but it's already frustrating just driving it in town, I end up going mad when I do get on the open road, and points etc are too much of a risk.

Still planning on being a forum member, I'll just have to hitch a lift at the next summer bash!!!

Mate, welcome to my world !!!! :hysterical: :hysterical: :hysterical:

I live about 1½ miles from work, i'm not even going to work out how much the tax costs me per mile to get to work and back each day, is soooooo impracticle but your only middle aged once I guess. Have thought about getting rid of mine for the same reasons though to be fair, for the miles it does makes sense to have the money sometimes.

On the bright side at least you aint got the same trip to work each day and you are welcome to catch a lift we me anytime mate.
