oh right i just bout a group N rally down pipe for £100 and a magnex centre pipe for 69 quid im hopeing to do the centre pipe my self and speak nicely to scooby A if i cant do the down pipe and get him to do it for me

how much work is it to do the down pipe u got to take the heat sheild off right then its just un bolt it right????

gotta try and do it ur self get know the car how it runs then when u fcuk it up take it to some one to sort out i cant wiat till we get our garage built in the next couple of weeks i can play with it all night long

how much work is it to do the down pipe u got to take the heat sheild off right then its just un bolt it right????
Remove the heatsheild the day before if possible. and soak the turbo/downpipe bolts/studs in wd40. Give another good spray in the morning and hope they undo easily... Only other thing is unplug the LAMBDA senser and remove the sensor. Sometimes this is a tight fit if it gets hard to undo do back up and undo again keep doing this if it is hard to get out. It is a very easy job really long as the bolts undo ok...Turbo and downpipe get very hot so you can imagine what the bolts are like. Most cut the heatsheild to get it back on others lag the downpipe and do not bother replacing the heatshield.

cheers bob i dont know what day they will arriving this week i got the week offf of work so i will soak them in wd40 tomor and also try and get the sensor out if i can.
i also got to change the downpipe on my clio as well tomor should be fun thwe car HAS DONE 150000 miles and i dont think it has ever been changed i have a feetling i might be snapping bolts off. :happy0005:

I did it on my old scoob, unbolting the old down pipe is the worst bit, it either comes off or it don't.
I soaked me nuts in WD40 for a week (oo eer missus) but still couldn't get them undone. In the end took it to a garage and they sheared two bolts off trying to get it undone.
Well worth doing though :biggrin:

i saoked them in wd40, and they still would not undo. got some freeze release for around £5 sprayed them with this, a few mins and they undone.
