Thought I'd take advantage off my 2 weeks of work, by doing bits on the car which i haven't had the time to do. Was up nice and early this morning, sun shining - result http://www.imprezasport.net/forums/style_emoticons/default/cool.gif Time to fit new induction kit.

I have got a new cone to go on it, just was sent the wrong adaptor to fit onto the MAF http://www.imprezasport.net/forums/style_emoticons/default/banghead.gif

Time to modify. it now pulls better and more responsive http://www.imprezasport.net/forums/style_emoticons/default/up.gif Will at some stage sort out some sort of heatshield to shield from engine heat.

All opinions welcomed.

Yes, i know it needs a clean http://www.imprezasport.net/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif

Is the newage Sport run on a MAP and not MAF? Or is the MAF tucked away where I cannot see it?

You're right with your first thought Bob. upto and inc. MY97 they used the phase 1 engine which had MAF. After this year the Phase 2 engine was brought in, which uses MAP as seen in Scooby2's car

Look at Steve's induction you see a black box in line by the cone...This is the dreaded MAF....Yours do not use MAF as it used a MAP....

You wont see it cos MAP sensor is Manifold Absolute Pressure, so the sensor will be on the Inlet Manifold itself
