Hi,

I have a de-cat downpipe, what looks like a small centre cat and unresonated mid-section with afterburner vortex silencer (the exhaust pipes prob have 3" diameter) - also have a different manifold on(according to my mechanic) - and for what it is worth an earthing kit fitted (nice blue wires all over engine bay!)

apart from that engine is standard.

What BHP might I expect now, and what might a remap put that up to?

Thanks guys...

depends what she's running stock bud.......... a remap can unleash no end of power depending what she's running mod wise......

mod wise just the exhaust and manifold at the moment...
any ideas what just doing the exhaust would add...
it was all done when I bought the car, so not sure on the exact tech spec...

speak to martin at ajs , but decat/remap will give you 265bhp m8 .

small centre cat ????

you will pass MOT with a cat

FULL de-cat and headers with remap would probably get you upto 260/270
the headers,if good ones, will produce alot of torque rather than power

what you really need is a vf34 turbo,as fitted to the sti7 jdm RA , to get you upto and around 330-340 bhp with your current mods, may need bigger injectors, then definately a remap, may not be worth remapping it with just a decat, some say do some say don't, i'd wait till you add some things

ps , i know of a vf34 for sale soon
9000 miles, running 348/362 on a classic that does the quarter mile in 12.578
i'll get you his details if your intersted ;)

I would expect to see around 265 - 285 bhp and 260ish lbft of torque witn an Ecutek remap from ourselves..The standard injectors are maxed out at this level on a UK WRX and the intercooler is beginning to run out of flow...The change to a front mount takes this restriction away and a set of Sti pink injectors would be needed for more power...

About right... Graham has this power on his WRX but without a remap as yet. Think he will get a little more if he turns the boost up.
