hi all
Just a quicky - as I have never had one does an induction kit produce a whoooshy sort of sound or have I done something wrong ???? it seems to be quicker - fitted to a UK spec WRX !
Thanks in advance
yes it should make a whoooshy sort of sound due to more air being sucked in.

Definately get some induction 'roar' with an IK:smile:

Put your boot down and you get a nice sucking noise, just check all the joints you only want clean air getting in. If your IK filter needs oil to help clean this may shag the Maf sensor.

one question - since fitting the kit the car hesitates and misses at high revs, am i better off forgetting it and putting it back to standard? if it needs a re-map im screwed as it still has 8 months left of a subaru warranty???

I would sack it off...IKs look good but can loose you torque and make the car less driveable.

I think IKs do have their place on cars which are healily upgraded but for most std/mildly modified cars the OE airbox is pretty good at keeping unwanted heat from entering the engine.

Rumour from prodrive is that the standard airbox is good for 350bhp above that it will need to be changed
Yep....sounds right to me.

would of been a good idea to reset the ecu after adding that induction kit so the ecu could slightly compensate and get used to it helps it run alot smoother i reset my ecu after each change and it seems to make it run soo much smoother im taking my induction kit off now just waiting for my arc induction box to arrive yeppe!
