Ok i have started a new poll to try and get things narrowed down so we can get things booked as we are running out of time.

Some people have expressed intrest in a posh do and some have said they would prefer to have a sunday mid day meet at a pub. There is no reason why we could not have both but we would need to have names and numbers rather quickly as well as deposits.

Over the coming week i will be putting up some pubs and hotels and what they have to offer for a group booking for xmas periods. It would be helpful if you could tell me what you think of each place.

Suggestions for other ideas are as follows:-

Beachsleeper has suggested Mcdonalds!
Scooby3717 has suggested Pizza Hut
ScoobyDazza has suggested Sun Inn @ Swindon, Ed and i could pull some strings as its our local, we know a D.J, and might be able to set up some discounted rooms at holiday inn that is across the road!
Scoobylove has suggested Ocean Pearl in Bath

OPTION 1 - The Bear, Wellsway, Bath

Starters:- mushroom dippers, prawn cocktail or soup of the day
Main meal:- Traditional Roast turkey, Traditional Roast beef, Salmon with citrus sauce or blue cheese and walnut roast
Desserts:- Double chocolate profiteroles, festive fruits and brandy snap or christmas pudding

The best bit of this lovely pub is that the price is a bargain £20.00 for a 3 course meal for 2 people !!

Not overly posh so all the family are able to come to the event with childrens christmas menu at £5.95 for a 3 course meal, deposits for each person are required on booking as well as choice of food.

OPTION 2 - The Compass Inn, Tormartin, Nr Bath

Awaiting menu and costs

yeah i liked that pub why not there for those who don't want a posh do and the other place for those who do
maybe sp could start the ball rolling by asking people to add their name to lists as to which one they want to otherwise there will be no xmas do for either one
