Who on the site has one in their panel box?

http://www.scoobyworld.co.uk/catalog...oducts_id=1249

I'm looking at buying one as at the moment I dont have a filter in mine due to the one I had from Foresters turning out to be oiled and failing apart as well.. So I was wondering would I be better off to spend £35 on the above filter or buy an induction kit as I will be later thinking of adding a FMIC to the car? Bare in mind it might be quite a while before that happens...

Anyone?

Phil, I would stay away from Green Filters as they are very lightly oiled, knackered my maf in my wrx. K&N are supposed to be good as Litchfield use them in there cars. (Robocop has one in his)

agree Kev K&N by far the best......

are the green PANEL filters lightly oiled ?

for induction kit then K+N57i everytime, less vibration certainly helps keeping the maf in 1 piece

K&Ns are lightly oiled as well.

Quite a few reputable tuning companies as well as owners run Green panels.

k&n are impregnated with oil and so are maf friendly

personaly i would use a stainless steel mesh filter like the Blitz or the Powertec Induction Kit, which is quite similar to the Blitz.

Def no oil, and most in N.devon are using it now.

i had 1 and my mapper told me to get it off asap
cause so much vibration it knackerd 2 MAFs
maybe ok on earlier classics but i wouldn't recomend 1 for a 99+

All bob said to me was do not put the old blitz green coloured cones on they are next to U/S.. The new SS ones are ok. So I bought the new Blitz SS one bob mapped the car and said the induction kit was fine...:rolleyes1:

Blitz revamped their filters, and from what i was told they are Very good, and Maff friendly. hence why i bought one.

I had a stainless Blitz cone on my old car and it never caused any problems....was bolted down pretty securely though.

Blitz do do stainless panels as well as IKs so that may be route worth going down.

My current car runs a map sensor so no more maf woes....people run ITG filters on 172s/182s which are as sticky as fook in oil:eek:

Pipercross now do a nice oil less performatnce filter which was better than my oiled K&N (although that didn't cause me any worries)

yes my chosen weapon is a cone filter with a flake, melts in the sun so def messes up your maf...

Simota dry filter, not a hint of oil, flows better than a k&n 97% filtration and the scoob seems to love it

I always go for the std scoob filter...never found a filter that gives better performance.
