Hi All,
my 1996 classic seems to have the original RAMAIR still in it (came with Prodrive pack in 1996) which its very black. So after 10 yrs its probably worth a replacement. I'd like to replace with the same, but there seems to be a few sorry tales of new filters killing off MAF sensors ? Has anyone else used a new RAMAIR ? , is it ok ? or would you recommend another manufacturer ?
:action-smiley-065: Cheers Rups

Aren't ramair filters foam and washable?

yeah, they're made from three pieces of foam stuck together.
Wash them and then use a solvent/oil based cleaner.
Is this cleaner likely to cause damage to the MAF ?
Being 10 yrs old the form is coming apart so I think a new one is probably better.

I would wash them out in thiners, and not re-oil it.
the Ram air is lightly oiled.
the maff being damaged in my opinion is down to they way it is handled when removed to fit the induction kit.
