Hi, I have a full decat exhaust with an afterburner backbox. The centre section has a resonator box, but I am finding that the afterburner is too loud for my liking, which is a shame because it looks amazing and there are definate performance gains.
Is anybody running one with a bung?
How much more quiet does it make it and does it affect the performance?
Aternatively I might be looking to sell it or maybe swap for a different backbox.

I have a Bung, and it Quietens it rgiht down, i found the car to be very laggy with the bung, Thinks its because the extra back pressure is stalling the turbo, which could also damage the Turbo which is not good.
I will only use the Bung for Track Days.
They do tend to drone rather loudly on those motorway trips...The bung will not make much differance perhaps 2 dec quieter. Differant back box or replace the center cat will quieten it down.

Might just have to sell the Afterburner then and stick me Magnex back on, which had a lush burble and was just the right volume. Just prefer the look of the Afterburner though.
