im starting to look into the mapping side of the car...... does any one have any recomended degrees of advancement to set the vernier pulleys after initial mapping on tdc as this is the first time ive ever got involved with timing advancement away from a distributor car....

Tiley's have asked me to pop up to RCM with there engine which has vernier pulleys RCM sets up the engine before its dropped into the car, but they only really use these to get the Timing spot on.

verniers on my old Twin Cam 16v Turbo Cavalier were setup on the rolling road, adjusting them then testing each time to get the best performance.
I had previously set them up using a DTI to ensure full lift was Achieved.
However 15BHP was gained setting it up on the rollers
Going to RCM to watch them set up the verniers on Tiley's race car on Wednesday..Been told they set them up with as much as 8 deg advance on inlet. I will have a close look at how its all done..
