dont mean to sound thick but dont know jack about them.
the wagon has 1 fitted and it's 1 that he's made himself (he sells them on ebay).Anyway it has 2 green lights 2 red lights and 1 white light wat exactly does it tell me not that it's come on would just like to know.

With one light up its usually background noise. When they all light up you have knock (det) Could be one of many things like poor fuel, boost to high..So give you warning to slow down and investigate...

and if you don't get any knock then turn the sensitivity up or get a mate to 'tap' it with a light hammer to see if it's working
