Here's some of my pics from Japfest today

http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b371/Neil_G/RCM_500engine.jpg

Roger Clarke WRI engine...487bhp. My fave Subaru of the day.

http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b371/Neil_G/JunEngine.jpg

Lovely Jun prepared Skyline engine

http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b371/Neil_G/V8dragster_2.jpg

Mad V8 dragster....0-60 in 1.7 seconds!!!!

http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b371/Neil_G/Sideways.jpg

Sideways action at Quarry

http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b371/Neil_G/Drifting.jpg

More drifting action....brilliant!

http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b371/Neil_G/RX7turbo.jpg

HUGE turbo on a Dragon Performance RX7.....the casing was probably a foot across...it drew quite a crowd!

The drifting was the highlight of the day for the track action...they made it look so, so easy!

Top day despite the wind (bl**dy cold) but at least the rain held off for once:smile:

Yeah, there were some cracking cars there, some a bit 'fast and furious' but even so you got to credit the amount of work (and money) that goes into them.
Love that wideboy white skyline with the gul wing doors.

I loved the Abbey motorsport Skylines....pure no-frills performance and when you looked in the engine bays you know you were looking at some serious engineering/power.

There were indeed lots of s**t F&F cars there....I spotted Redline/J-Tuners butchered Skyline and had to do a runner:eek:

Crowd seems to have changed...I noticed a lot more 'chavs' there this year than any other year and it was very, very busy. Still didn't spoil the day though....the drifiting cars were just amazing and it was real good to hook up with other SWS members again:smile:

Oh yeah...the ride back in Kevins Spec C was very good....f**k me that car can go round corners at some speed....I think it needs full harnesses in it to keep you in the seats!

Err, I was taking it considerably easy if the truth be told. The car wasn't warm, so there was no way I booted it.

You should have been with me on the way up to York and back for Scoobynet Live. :fighting0024:

The truth comes out....hooligan:hysterical:

You still used quite a bit of boost though for an engine that wasn't fully warmed up.....I wouldn't have gone over 2.5k.....was kind of surprised.

Was fun...definately like to co-pilot again:smile:
