Is Race fuel any good if you put your car on the Rolling road?

when we do ours we always put at least 98 - 99 Ron in - hasnt helped us much or is it cos ours is at that stage where things start to wrong?

Unless you have some way to alter the map to take advantage of the better fuel it won't make any difference.
I had some "Cool Blue" 106 Ron race fuel, which I put in before a Combe track day. It didn't make any difference, although I did feel safe knowing it wasn't going to "det"

yep this is the only thing it will do without a Full remap to adjust timing and fueling. a Safe Engine.

The More RON the less DET. i can prove this, just using my knock senson and a Bottle of Millers.

My MY98 was mapped to 95 ron fuel and gave 276 BHP at powerengineering. I then used the fuel in the tank and filled with 98 ron and went straight back on the RR and got 270 bhp. Merve told me higher octane burns slower so gives less bhp. But after mapping got 283bhp. So the higher octane helped the car run more advance but without mapping ran less power...
