I would be Interested in Interpro, but Not Powerstation, figures were always low for everyone when we go their.

So if I go to Interpro I'll get a bigger reading than I would than at Powerstation? I know I've got 350bhp, I can't see the point of going somewhere else to to say I've now got 360+bhp. The car still goes the same.

i do know AJ's RR is fine,JD proved that!!

imo at powerstation, all figures were extremly low, Interpro's figures are realistic.
with Bob's Type R running well at Powerstation, he was down a Fair bit, as was most figures that day.
On my previous turnout at Powerstation, i have got the Dyno here, i only made 204 BHP from an import not uk.
Jk can also confirm, that on this Occasion Every Single car that run that Day was down. most were Vauxhalls, me and Jk were the only ones to run, Subaru's
A std Cavalier Turbo made 204 bhp a few days before at Interpro. which is the std bhp for a Cav turbo, but only made around 168 at powerstation, they said no cavalier could run over 200bhp yet my old one was 335.
The owner took his car back to interpro the following week and was back at 204. Powerstation had said the car was running well, it achived std boost. so should have mad the 204 with ease.
IMO powerststions Figures are not True.
wish we had the posts from the old sws forum, as iirc most people on here were also un-happy with the results to. as they were so low.
Derek
We have been to Powerstation and interpro and AJ's and AP's we should now try somewhere else...So I would sugest PowerEngineering. They know there stuff and I have had many a good day there on there rolling Road. We also have a large data base to compair with.. http://dyno.scoobynet.co.uk/
On my old cars I get a completly differant reading at PE to PS you can see for yourself on the data base. 283 bhp at PE and 246 bhp at PS...

All rolling roads read differently.
You should stick to the same one.
Most of the concern about RR days is the consistentcy (sp) of the figures, if you want that, then you need to use the same one all the time.
And no I won't be going back to powerstation for the reasons Derek mentioned.
AP's graphs were wrong.
Not been to Engine Tuner but I've read enough of AJ's posts on other sites to decide not to.

AJ's RR is correct according to my figures.

Incidently, where do "your" figures originate from?

I think it all depends what you are looking for on the day.
I went on a Powerstation DD day last year and was blown away by their set up (inc Ian Litch), and had the chance to sit in a brand new Ford GT 40 that was there at the time. They certainly know there stuff too, well proven with the development on the T25 etc. and 1 of the mechanics - FUZZ is a true scooby fanatic.
Can't even remember the figures my type R put out, but did learn a huge amount about geometry and handling while I was there.
Powerengineering as you probably are aware are also one of the most knowlegable companies around with their involvment in ECUTEK, and could be a chance for a good day out, a chance to learn from someone else and somewhere different to go.
As for the dyno figures, they are only really good for comparing against others cars on the day. There are too many variables to consider, can't consider a dyno to be good or bad based on a Dyno day, each garage uses the things day in day out and know how much a particular car should put out on their dyno. Only they can say if your car is good or poor in comparison, and should support this with a reason. If you car performs badly without explination then it could be a waste of a run, if your only there to get a high figure.
Thats the thing for me..just somewhere differant.. not really interested in the bhp of my car just want to know its running ok.
is there going to be another RR day while everyone`s at Pontins again?

I'd like to go somewhere different and wouldn't mind giving Power Engineering in Uxbridge a go. From what I gather, it was Dave Power that developed the Ecutek software.
I Was Looking Into A Couple Of Local Ones Because I Also Have Some People Intrested In A Rolling Road. I Was Looking At The Place Were We Had Scooby Mag Come Down To - Cant Remember What It Was Called - But Like Kevs Idea Of Going Somewhere Different
Could I Have A List Started Please:-

bit of a trek for a rr
Only 100 miles for me in Bristol. For the Swindon lot must be about 50 miles. Tis only the same as when we go to AJ's. Anyone from east of Bristol it will be even shorter and quicker.

was thinking of the plymouth lot.
was thinking of the plymouth lot.
Might be a little far for them..But we must remember the Bristol Bath and Swindon lot have travelled to Plymouth for there RR's.
We could do Plymouth again but at the Pub meet yesterday it was though somewhere differant just to make a change..

fair comment, wont affect me anyway.
Think most of us go to the RR's not to see if this mod or that mod has improved things but for a day out and to make sure the scoobs are running Ok. To see our own improved BHP we would have to use the same RR of course.

Interpro are ok but the graphs are a bit uniformative. Like to see what boost and fueling are doing. Tis up to you all to decide which RR you want to go to. I don't mind eaither way. I only go for the chat and bacon butties anyway...:hysterical:
