Battery Cut out!?

Hiya guys n gals,

Bear with me as I am a complete Electrical fu*kwit! I am thinking of fitting a battery cut out swith to the scooby, partly for security reasons and partly cause its kinda cool! lol! I just had a quick question. Seeing as it will disconnect the battery when the key of the switch is removed, the car will do an ECU Reset each time I drive it, will this harm it in any way??? Also does anyone know thich side of the battery to wire it into, eg, positive side or negative side??? Sorry for the stupid questions, but when it comes to electrics a 3 pin plug is about my limit!:lol:

Not the thing I would do.. The radio will have to be reset everytime you start the car as will the clock. The ECU will also be a problem as it will never learn in the short start stop times.. Better off putting a switch to fuel pump or ignition.

Cheers bob, i thought that would be the case! I`ll see if I can wire the switch up to the ignition then:cool:
