Hi there my name is James i drive a 1998 Subaru Impreza WRX STI Type R in blue.

Just like to say hi to everyone!

I was told about the site from Louise_Rat after posting a request on SIDC about wanting to buy or rent a centre cat pipe for my car so i can past my MOT- Car currently parked up :j_sad: .

I have included the post below...if anyone could help out would be great!!

I have a 1998 WRX STI TYPE R 2 door, it was time for my first mot today since owning the car so i thought i better put the cat back on the down pipe (this was in the boot when i bought it) It had fitted a decat down pipe and a full Blitz Nur Spec R exhaust.
So i took it to the garage it passed on everything bar the exhaust emissions they were reading something like 1.19 and should of been reading 1.03?
The mechanic said at first buy this fuel cleaner from us take it for a run and then bring it back and we will retest so far £60 spent....no mot...
So i took it for a run for an hour and 15 and did the test again no different.
He then said my lamba sensor must be broken, and it needs to be replaced.
Now my question is did my car as standard come with a secondary cat in the mid-section or if i fitted one would it make a difference so i can my MOT and enjoy driving my car again (or be it being able to get to work)....
Or if it did work does anyone have one they could rent me for the test?
