Right, test drove an 03 STi PPP today and although I loved the power (305PS) quoted, I could not justify the £5,000 Subaru wanted to PX my 03 WRX PPP (256PS).
So...I have £2,000-£2,500 to spend on tuning...where do I shop and what do I buy??? I have G-Force looking at how my budget can best be spent but I feel a lot of the budget will be blown on labour charges.
Now I am not a monkey when it comes to a spanner and I am handy in the workshop and will happily fit myself althogh I cannot remap and things...
I am looking to top the power of the STiPPP and hopefully blow it into the weeds...No Nirous suggestions please...(already have it but want steady, regular, reliable and constant power that will not pull my clutch plate off..

full de cat, induction kit, uprated pump and adjustable regulator, decat up pipe, bigger injectors and a rolling road tune and remap by power engineering........should see you around 340-350 bhp..... :).

The 03 WRX has no Cat in the up pipe. Thankyou Subaru edmondo2. When i first got my 03 wrx, I only changed the back box and went for a direct flow air system and a had 255 bhp on a rolling road. Ive now Decated my scoob,it has a lot more pull. But i know i will need to upgrade the fuel pump and go for a remap sometime thumbs up.

Thank you gents...should I uprate the intercooler? I have heard rumbles about Front Mounted... dancing 1.
Also...as I already have the PPP, does that not include a fuel pump upgrade already?

the ppp on the WRX does not include the fuel pump.
A good company to speak to is WRC at Silverstone, a few of us have been there & had very good results.

Have a browse..

what turbo is on the wrx 03 ?
if,what i believe,it's the td04 then you will be lucky to get 280 bhp out of that
so,i'd go for
vf34 turbo - £650
headers - £250
full decat - £600
induction - £100
550cc injectors - £300
walboro 255 fuel pump - £85
remap - £600
probably get away with your top mount,IMO u don't need a fuel regulator.

i maxed out my td04 and tbh it was fine as they spool so quickly , was as quick with 265 bhp as most 300 bhp (on the road) due to early spool.
if you ntend going 320+ then go for a different turbo
