I've got the PRofec b 2 jobby.Works well and was easy to set up after some instructions/guidance from Norris Designs. Also had a FCD fitted to escape boost/fuel cuts.

However, you can find it for alot cheaper than the £320 odd they are supplying it for. I've seen it for £260, maybe less in places.

Andy.

No that is Not the Place to connect the Valve Unit.

the Waste Gate is correct, disconnect the T Piece on the Waste Gate Actuator.

follow the long pipe back to the Drivers Wing either cur this down and block it or replace with a shorter bit of pipe and Block it.

Assuming you got new piping with the controller, remove the two bits of pipe left from the T Piece, one on the Waste Gate, and the Other On the Turbo.

Now connect the Pipes from the Valve Unit one to the Turbo and One to the Actuator.

The valve unit should be marked telling you which pipe goes to which. if its just arrows in and out, the in comes from the Turbo and out to the Actuator.

use the T Piece and a short bit of pipe, and connect the pipe with the filter to the FPR as you have suggested.

you can also take it to any of the vaccume connections on the top of the inlet Mannifold.

Hope This Helps.

Derek

Ok I think Ive got it now. Had more help, Thanks Bob.

I blank this one. This is the one that goes to the stock solenoid on the wing.

This pipe is the one that will go on to the in side of the new valve unit

http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a193/beachsleeper/e08a870d.jpg

And this will be the pipe that will go on to the out, on the new valve unit

http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a193/beachsleeper/96ff85f6.jpg

And the FPR is just add a tee back to the new head unit.

What about the boost cut?

Boost or fuel cut?

Neil G
28-04-2006, 08:40 09
Sorry, fuel cut it is mate.

Not sure how much your MY ecu will allow you to wind the boost up before it stops play....might be worth checking.

bob
28-04-2006, 12:38 39
At the moment BS does not want to wind the boost up, ( so I'm told) The controller is because of exhaust mods, to stop it overboosting...

I think my top safe limit is 1.3 bar or 14 psi. I think.

Neil G
29-04-2006, 11:05 05
1.3 bar = 18.54psi

Sounds a lot but if it's a safe limit that's all good:smile:

beachsleeper

So What is 1 bar in kpa?

Sorted.

Kilopascal (kpa)

1 bar = 100 kpa = 14.5 psi.

1.3 bar = 18.54psi

Are you sure?

Got this figure from an online conversion site so pretty sure it's right.

If 1 bar is 14psi then 1.3 = 18 sounds about right.

Looks good mate....nice fitment.

Seemed to be running ok when Stock why the boost controller?

I never told you bob. On the sat before the Rolling road, I had a look under the bonnet to see if everything looked ok, hozes and things. I had a poke about and my pipes from my turbo fell apart so thats why i plumbed the new controler in. Back up, you could say. It got me on the rolling road. Just had a few probs. Dont worrrie, im going back to the stock controler this weekend, just need to sort some new pipes.

bob
20-02-2007, 23:07 56
Yea I would think so...Good figs from what I remember with stock ECU.

Glad to hear its back to its usual self..Sometimes these sophisticated boost controllers are to complicated for the general user.
