depends on your mods

i believe you changed the headers recently
have you got a full de-cat as well ?

figure out what mods you wanna do,and what power you want,,,, get it all fitted, driving steadily, then get it mapped.......

thing is the first re-map is the expensive 1
my mapper charges approx 600 quid which includes purchasing the 'licence'
after that it's half the price but, with my mapper he halves it again for returning customers
so,i only pay 150 now for my 'tweaks'
although AJ did offer to map mine for not much more than that and he's never touched it ;)

Hi Everyone,

The history of mapping is very interesting, Bob Rawle has been in the mapping game long before most others, mainly using link ecu's, and later ECUTEK. Most who have used his skills have reported excellent results. Now there are many more mappers to choose from, this mainly due to the invention of ECUTEK by Power engineering. Generally speaking AJ has found very small differences between mappers results.

A few years ago Bob was the best, but the choice was minimal, now many others have caught up proved by results on the dyno.

IMHO you need tuning done by the mapper on the road and dyno to get the best results.

if you want bob to map it then let me know as 'we' have an understanding ;)
also,he may travel if i can get another 1 or 2 cars to do
i am getting him to fit/map the Ling ecu for me which is gonna cost 4 figures so he probably will come down for both of us .
let me know and we'll sort summink out,i'm in contact with him at least twice a week :) and he's mapped quite a few cars now on my recommendation

Hi Darran,

Any reason why your junking your ECUTEK and going for Link, thinking of bolting on another mod in the future mate?

On the MLR autronic seems to be king of the ECU's, have you thought about these?

Lee.

i was told a couple of weeks ago that unichips are quite good as they can be mapped too, the only thing that can`t be mapped is the cold start

I beleive the Ecutek is suitable for your car Ed.

Can get good results without the cost of an ecu.

Not really A map Tiny M8.. Think these things just convert figs from the ecu. But yes some good results have come from the unichip..Had one in the early days. It had to have Boost bleed vale in those days but now all that is built in. Olly runs a unichip but the MAF is maxed out at 350 BHP on his. Think Olly is happy with the 350 bhp mark though.
