Went out to prep the car for a run tomorrow and to fill up, only to find that a chip in the windscreen had developed into an 8 inch crack overnight :sad-smiley-046:
Never having had to deal with windscreen replacement before, thought I'd better phone the insurance to find out what I needed to do. Forget it - closed for claims 'til WEDNESDAY !!!:angry-smiley-055:
Oh well, try calling Autoglass to get an appt. anyway.

Nice girl on the phone at 5:00pm on boxing day says 'no problem, we'll deal with your insurer, no need to contact them and we can do it 8:00am tomorrow' - Now that's what I call Service, most impressed :sign0191:

Is it just me or are Subaru windscreens made of 'easy chip' glass ? In all my previous cars, I've never had a broken, or even chipped windscreen. Since I've have the STi, it's had numerous chips, this last one being terminal :scratchchin:

Agree with that mate..............3 or 4 tiny chips and this crack

The man from Autoglass turned up today and said the chip is too small to repair and to wait until it gets worse or it gets a bigger chip in it :sad-smiley-046:
