I just wonderd what is the soonest we no when we can start looking into 2010 shows as really would like to try and get our stand up on the padock area & also track session for who ever would like them .
I no its along way of yet but i really want next year to be BIGfor us i no the biggest prob is getting the numbers up and getting people to pay for tickets ahead of time so come on people lets make SWS / SOR stand out from the rest next year
PS: As i said i no its along way of and i no some of you would not be able to give a def answer but come on who is up for getting in their early next year

as far as track time goes my opinion is that we should buy the tickets anyway and even if the peeps on here dont have them other club members will, this was proved at japfest when no one had any tickets left.
i cant remember them even being an option this year on sws yet the rb5 owners club gave neatrags track time for free!!!!!!!
we do need better stand location, theres some great cars in sws and we need a prominant stand location to set ourselves apart from the others. i wont be keen on showing if the stands are in the same place next year but i wouldnt know how you go about securing better locations?

nice one trevor onwards and upwards thats the way forward
SWS had one of the prime spots at RallyDay this year IMHO
Some of the smaller clubs were tucked away at Quarry and Camp

I would love to go out on the track but would need a new car for that ; )
We [SIDC] will have at least 2 dates for Open Pitlane at Castle Combe remember SWS Members get preferential rates
Don't mess around with 10-15 sessions on a show day IMHO

our spot at Rallyday was great for attracting people as they came in, the one that wasn't so good was earlier in the year (Japfest?) but to be fair, it was windy & rainy & being in the middle down the bottom didn't give us a windbreak anywhere....
Would be quite happy to get space on Avon again

Not everyone wants a track day and 20 quid for a 5 min fix is much more affordable than a separate trip (in addition to the trip to the show) and a full day on track with fuel, brakes , tyres, geo set up etc.
I love track days, but track time at shows should be offered IMO.

hopefully smeathorpe might be back............ now that i would defo be up for xxx and we can have a stand. ; )
Keep it local and happy times xx
Not saying shouldn't have tracktime at shows at all
Its just more economic
After you take out insurance its the same for 20 mins as it is for all day

What would be good is a charity run out on the track again as a club like the rb's did at rally day and like we did 2 years ago this was fun for thoughs that don't want to compete.

Cool. Think I will be up for these.
Does anybody have a complete list of all of the shows for the year (including Shakespeare / Santa Pod / Castle Combe )?? If we were able to see this then it may make it easier to choose which ones to go to.
Been to santa pod loads and a lot of my main club use the strip. We have some big power cars. Is a good day out.

I've just looked at the link for the japshows and i reckon it would be a great day out and good promotion for the club...i think if we are really gonna put S-O-R/SWS on the map we should be attending more shows further a field as well as attending as many local shows as poss :-)

you are write in what you are saying m8 but its just getting others to comit themselfs as not everyone can as not sure if they are free on some dates and cause of this they will not buy tickets ahead of time and that is what we need . The other thing is some show dates fall on or around the same tome as other like we had summer performace action day this year and a week or 2 later we had rally day cause they were so close together we missed out on performance action day but we are all going to do our best to make 2010 the best for us

totaly agree but cost is also an issue!
I cant afford to go to all the shows and I would only attend shows in the south west anyway, getting numbers for all the shows will be hard work imo but maybe worth a try?
