New Server

Hi,

We have moved to a New Server with the current hosts.

The server is actually Smaller than the previous server, and will incur less monthly outgoings than the previous server.

The Previous server was costing $120 per month. with the exchange rate the cost varied from £70 - £85 at today's exchange rate this was costing £74.03

The New Server is only $50 Per Month at today's exchange rate we will pay £30.85

This will be a monthly saving of approx £43.18

Their was an initial outlay to setup this server, this cost $150 = £91.26

it will take just over 2 months to fully re-coupe the outlay for this, but I fully believe this was the way forward.

Very good that you find a cheaper option for the server. I did think the server was a little large for the amount on it.
Will this effect the webspace some of us have?

No Bob, their was a lot of files on the old server that were not needed... these were the complete backup / transfer files from our previous server transfers.

we have dropped from 80GB to 50Gb however, we actually have more space now I have moved everything and deleted the transfer files. than we had a couple of days ago.

we has 12GB last week we now have 23Gb... and their are still some files to be deleted. from yesterday's transfer... but i am downloading these to my home pc at present as a backup so i need to wait till this completes... takes 18 hours...

So this will NOT affect any accounts on the server.

so now i deleted all the old files we are now only using 15gb. so 35gb going spare.
