S-O-R ~ Scoobie Owners Register.
Well As some of you are aware SWS own a National Site called S-O-R, I closed this down some time ago.
Well it is about to make a Return this weekend.
South West Scoobies, will then become a Regional Division of S-O-R, the same as it was when we were a part of SIDC.
I will close Down SWS and make all the Changes, when we Return your Existing username and password will all work and all existing post's and P.M's will still all be here.
The forum will gain New Events forums for meets throughout the Uk & Ireland.
South West Scoobies, will have it's Own events area and all Meets and Shows will remain the Same, and will still go under the Name South West Scoobies.... All Staff will retain their Positions within SWS... and the SWS Banner will still be used at all the shows.
So what changes will we see?
The Main change will be the style sheet and a few extra forums.
The SWS Style sheet will still be available for members who wish to use it.
Advanced Members will be able to join a Public Group for their region... eg. SWS. this will automaticly display your area's Style sheet... You will also have a SWS Image under your username to show your Support for the SW region. or any other region you are in.
When you purchase Membership, you will be able to request either SWS or S-O-R T-Shirts, and both will be for Sale within the Shop.
As SWS is a Part of S-O-R, all existing Advanced Memberships will still remain Active until their renewal date.
The forums will still be accessible under the www.southwestscoobies.org.uk (http://www.southwestscoobies.org.uk) domain as well as www.s-o-r.co.uk (http://www.s-o-r.co.uk)
At present www.s-o-r.co.uk (http://www.s-o-r.co.uk) is setup as a test forum using a backup of the SWS database, so you may wish to have a look at the forum and get an idea of what it might look like.
As a National Club, we will be looking for other Subaru Clubs to join us and become a part of S-O-R.
I have made this decision after seeing the lack of attendance for Shows this year, and i am hoping that being a larger club we will attract members from further afield to join us at the larger events.
I hope you will all support me in my decision to move the club forward in this way.
Regards
Derek
