I no its only a small track but i could always find out the price for hire for a day and we could either make it a meet or something abit bigger ???

I'd probably be up for this, though this year is getting increasingly booked up so it would depend on when it was.

In that case I can't make it! I'm taking my dad up to Rockingham circuit on the 12/13th in a Clio 197 for a birthday treat!

i've done many track days there and 3 years they doubled there prices, and last year they doubled them again. only 1 car allowed on track at 1 time yet they charge per vehicle.

still, not to put a dampener on it, go ahead and find out and if you can get it at a reasonable price then put my name and me mates down . be in the golf though, scoobs too fast now for that track.

If the price is right then i will be up for it but not in the scoob. Its a really small track and doesnt suit big cars imo.

A R5gtt or 205gti will be my weapon of choice on the day!!

Fantastic museum as well so should be a good day.

Nice one m8 the scoob is not to bad for the track unless you do have big bhp as i said i stopped their yesterday and they had 3 scoobs going round the track quite fast and sideways on the corners it was good to watch

This is the best i could do and the best price i could get theu have got a cafe for food and they would also do discount for the museum itself i think he said about a £1 off normal price.

I was told if it is to go ahead we can not do timed laps and no mad drivers etc etc

Please find attached various information regarding the use of the test circuit which I advice you read through carefully. Although I’m sure we won’t have any problems from your club it is the up to the Duty Manager discretion on the day to stop all track activities without refund if they deem track use to be inappropriate or dangerous. That said this is seldom the case and I’m sure the SWS will have a great time.

The track is getting booked up quickly so I would advise you book soon to avoid disappointment, I have attached a spread sheet with available dates.

For a half day booking I’m happy to offer the track to an unlimited amount of cars at £450+ VAT about £40 per person if we have 12 cars

If you require any further information please don’t hesitate to contact me.

Many thanks

Tim

This was why SWS Stopped doing Haynes days...

The Price quoted if the Cost of Hiring the Circuit and not each Person.

if he gets 15 then its £34.50 each , which doesn't sound too bad, till you realise its half a day and you only get 1 go in 15 (obviously) i attend castle combe track days . yes, its dear, but they have open pit lane and we cover 9 miles each session. we do 8 sessions each, thats 16  in total. for 200 quid. and we normally leave at 3 ish, golfs tired by then

they have safety briefing, marshalls, ambulances, tow trucks the lot. and the open pit lane means that when you want to go on you just go.

we're going again april 27th https://www.trackdays.co.uk/tracks/castle_combe.htm
