Prodrive are selling off classic rally cars including first-ever WRC Impreza.

The first-ever WRC Subaru Impreza is up for sale for around £85 Grand on a new website dedicated to pre-owned Prodrive rally cars.

The 97' Impreza WRC-chassis number PRO-WRC-97-001, was the first Impreza built to the then new 1997 WRC regs that replaced the old Group A category.

Although it was never used in the WRC by Subaru, it was used extensively for testing in the hands of The late legend Colin McRae, Pierro Liatti and Kenneth Erikkson before being sold on to a private customer in 1998 (lucky man).

It is now being offered for sale in the official Team Subaru declas from the Rally of Finland 1997.

There are 7 more former works Impreza WRC cars up for grabs on the official Prodrive ‘Cars for sale’ website.

Prodrive spokesman Ben Sayer said...
"A lot of our customers want to buy the latest updated car every season, so over the years we’ve built hundreds of rally cars, especially in Group N where we typically build 50 a year. We want to provide a service where buyers can access genuine Prodrive built cars that have been pre-owned".

If your interested in the chance of having fun in a WRC impreza visit - www.prodrive.com/carsforsale (http://www.prodrive.com/carsforsale). Be warned you will need deep pockets as it looks as if the menu range's from £50k for a 2005 Impreza Group N up to £350k for one of last year’s WRC monsters!!!
