It is our intention to do another charity run around north devon in aid of charity again

we are planning to do this Saturday 11th July

As last year it will be £10 per car to participate i will arrange camping and a pub for the evening again

what i will need help with is for you guys to get out there and spam/plaster every site possible with this and get some interest from wherever we can it is open to all Jap cars not just scoobies

We are looking into having a Hog Roast for the food thoughts please!!

last year we had karaoke do you all want the same or do you have any further suggestions

I have just had a phone from the pub landlord regarding the cost of the hog roast

the total cost will be £500

now assuming we get 100 people along it's only £5 each

what are peoples thoughts on this

the other option is we have the same menu choices as last year which was £5 each for burger, sausage and jacket potato iirc

The hog roast has now been organised and the fields for camping so almost ready for the day now just have to start praying for the weather

got my concerns (:frown: sorry!) due to the uptake on the 'confirmation please' thread with the hogroast option - think it may work out too expensive??

personally would prefer hogroast but not at £:eek: each (whatever it currently works out at!)

I personally feel this thread should have be bumped up more as 2 people today said they only new about it last week when Paul posted a thread asking for confirmed numbers. Last year it was on the home page every week I can't remember seeing it there in the last 3 months ??

This is a great shame and if you could let me know which Charity the club are raising money for this year and maybe give Derek the bucket we could try and raise some at Modified mania along with the raffle I am planning, to raise funds for the club!!

enough to make it non-viable to continue with it i have put a lot of time into this again and am very disappointed with the members of this club for not supporting it I will not do this again in fact i have resigned my post as fund raiser for this club as i feel very let down it is not surprising that the club is on the verge or closing when some members don't seem to have any enthusiasm for SWS any more

I can fully appriciate your position paul, I too would be anoyed if i had put in all the work you had, but the finacial position of almost everybody has changed recently and i would guess this to be the main reason rather than a lack of commitment to the club.

it's the members such as yourself, Adam, torpedo & youngscars that are the dedicated ones its the others who don't purchase advanced membership or attend meets and very rarely post but still expect cheap show tickets and stand places it's just not fair on those that like and enjoy this club

it was in no way aimed at you mate as you had a fair enough reason for possibly not attending your boys birthday should always come first and i would be the same
