Hi Guys my names Mark Hopley, I live in Bridgwater and i am looking for lots of advice from a scooby engine Guru for a project some will love some will hate me for.....
Ive for the past 10 years been restoring Volkswagen split buses for a living and still do to a degree, not full time anymore due to it not paying, being a one man band......
Ive done alot of cars to mainly show standards(lol just do em to a fussy stupid standard, i never spout me trumpet but others do)
Back to this project or projects.... Initially the first car is a 1953 barndoor panel van (commercial)
ive boughta 96 EJ25 motor normal asperated( I fell in love with the subaru engine/car years ago)..... Looking to put this in my van, the putting in isnt a problem, its what i can do with it, I.E what i can bin and keep, can i bin all the emmisions pipework
ive taken off the power steering pump and aircon as its not needed..... I know its not new but the idea is to move this to a different level, make it look like it grew there(its got to be right) the van has already done a steering rack conversion. We've just developed a wilwood disc brake kit front and back.....
I need help with rebuilding the engine, getting more h/p, and as said getting rid of unnecissary stuff not needed...... Some one in the bridgwater/somerset area.
The second project is to put a later E.J25 turbo into a 1959 karmann ghia....... Something very fast and mad......
Any help would be much greatly appreciated both professional and serious hobbiest......
call 07985 413806

P.S any subaru engine gurus in the somerset area, main thread in the newbie section, please take a look and get back, loads of tea on offer and maybe financial payment...........
