Is 10/40 synthetic oil ok for my car as its one that HALFORDS recomended
Its for my04 subaru WRX with 35k on the clock
Does it have to be
part syn oil
fully syn oil
etc etc
Does it matter

your better off with fully synth IMO
millers or motul is popular with scoob owners.
don't use castrol magnatex

wotever you do mate DONT use 5w40 like i was told to do...it caused me a few problems to say the least

twas way too thin, and car just would not run properly...leaks here..leaks there...
10w40 is much better, if your in bristol mate I can get you some good oil from my parts supplier

Thanks m8 i have always put 10/40 in all my other scoobs and never had a problem i use either magnetex or f1

i've used magnetex the passed 2 oil changes & been fine but was thinkin of using that new edge stuff but been told it isn't much good nor is magnetex?? i went on opieoil.co.uk & all you do is put ur car,year,bhp ect ect & they will tell you which is best 4 ur car, like they told me 4 mine i should be using Silkolene PRO S 10W-50, i'm from bristol scoobywag can u get that brand of oil???

Thanks all sortedow been and bought oil from opie oil,s i got silkloen s pro thats what they recomended for the year millage of my car
