Forgive me if I have missed the thread but :redface:
How much did we raise in the end for the Devon Air Charity?
Think its nice to let members know as Rally day is now over :wink:

I am in the process of arranging for the sealed containers to go back to the air ambulance trust headquarters in exeter where they will count it and let me know the total amount in due course don't worry once this has been done i will put up a thread with the total amount

all monies were put together in the buckets which are sealed i assure you that as a sponsor i will inform you and everyone else of the final total
Wasn't the raffle at Rally day for a Hospital !!

This was a different Raffle Phil.
The one Mel is refering to was on the N.Devon Charity Day.
We were going to be collecting funds for the Air Ambulance at Rally day, but it was requested by Bob's Dragon that a collection is done for the Baby care unit that her Grandson was in.

Its very awkward using her laptop I tried yesterday and found her laptop as slow as my Phone on SWS. She has just posted in wrong area.

the pc was a Trapped ethernet cable between the PC and the router... the laptop as posted by RB is wireless. and it connected when Pauline thought it would not.
You so need to get over this Bob and stop dragging all this crap up time and time again:mad0213:

Your wrong again Derek...The laptop is connected with ethernet its not wireless. The PC will not connect but the laptop will using the same cables.

The Air ambulance is our charity through til the AGM....

i was asking for the total raised for the devon charity run....surely as it was nearly three months ago there should be some figures by now....and the money was supposed to be getting handed over after rally day....now your saying next year...can we have a total raised so far or is that too much to ask:redface:
we were able to keep peeps posted on how much we raised for the raffle as we were going along..not sure folks would keep donating if they dont know whats happening with it ....

how do you wish me to do that shall i break the security seal on the containers (which is illegal) I had made arrangements for the tins to be collected but then i started to do another event and then Sksimportworx decided to do one as well so DAAT have been contacted and informed and as they are the nominated charity until the AGM then we will keep adding to the funds
I expect to have raised in the region of £500 from charity day
and there is also £160 from the childrens prom night
also £60 from me giving up smoking

when you collect money for charity you shouldnt give false info about when its being donated....you said the money was being donated after rally day.....
and now nearly two months later you say its being kept until next year.......as you are doing this on behalf of our club...when were you going to tell us you had changed your mind......as several members have asked you recently....

As i understood the containers had already gone back ?????
Anyway there's know harm in sending theses ones back and getting more for next year this showing we are doing a good job for them.
And it's looks better for the SWS and its members showing we are doing what we said we would do? ..................
This will also give the club a lift and spir us on for next year ; )

at the time we were told the money would be getting returned after rally day.......when were we going to be told this date had changed...
now its been changed to after the next agm..jan 09 onwards.... months later...

first answer was that we couldn't open containers that is still the case
Second time was that i was arranging for the containers to be collected and when i spoke to DAAT they asked if we had any more fund raising planned to which i answered yes so they said to keep hold of them til we were ready
if it is really that important to you then i will drop them into the local shop and get them counted
