Firstly, i apologise i haven't been online for a while, just been enjoying my life away from comp :smile:
The next local meet will be on Sunday 7th September @ The Compass Inn @ Tormarton (Just off the A46 at J.18, M4)
As usual from around 13.00

It is still on... think most are going to a meet with another local club on the same day. :frown: Seems they are having there meets when we normally have ours then it is members from here who are all attending...

we are having the photo shoot for Total Impreza so this will be for BBS members only.
Like i said previous post im in peterborough so will not be attending ANY meets that day.
And for the record I work 5 over 7 i only get sundays of every 12 weeks or so, hence why i wont be making meets for sws or my own bbs!
but i hope everyone has a gr8 day!

Oh yes I would never miss the SWS local meet. If Pauline has tried to merged our meets it looks like she has not told anyone else..:redface: We cannot have a joint meet with another club if the other club do not want us there. It would be just like us going to a SIDC meet we would just not be welcome.

Yes the Other club has made it Clear tonight there Members do NOT want joint meets with SWS.

im not even sure how it came about that is would be a joint meet?
our co-ordinator picked a date and arranged a local meet in BRISTOL
your meet is in wiltshire so there is no reason for this to be combined or for anyone to suggest this, i dont want there to be a conflict between us all as there really is no need, everyone needs to be adult about this and maybe agree on 1 thing

just to clarify one thing on my previous position of steves deputy.
when the commitee was all being sorted everyone lost there jobs, and i was not re-approached for the job again, so i assumed it had been filled by someone else, i log in 1 day and find out i am once again steves deputy which i was not asked about and i had since given it up because i do not have the time to arrange meets as i work most sundays, i did however arrange the local meet at the red post which was successfull, and that was only a month ago!!!
i know there are alot of members on here that belong to bbs and vice versa this should not be a problem
at the end of the day the 2 clubs are totally independent of each other and are not reliant on each other, its no different having members on here who belong to SIDC or UJC.
if you have a problem with me posting on sws seeing as i am involed with bbs then please delete my account now and i wont log on again
I don’t think BBS are causing any problems. You have the right to meets and can have them anywhere you want them.
I think our problem is some of our own members who tell some of us the local meet is at Emersons Green or from what I can gather is a merge meet at Emersons Green when from Jason’s post it clearly is not. The Bristol Coordinator and the committee had no idea about any meet change so it came as somewhat of a shock.

You may very well have discussed it with Dragon. But I never said I was going to any other meet except the SWS meet at Tormarton. I will be at the Tormarton meet alone. Dragon can stay at home...

Just spoke to dragon, and Dragon thinks you got the wrong end of the stick..When you asked her if we were going to the meet Dragon thought you ment the Tormarton meet and replied yes. Dragon and myself have arranged to go to the Tormarton meet but Dragon would like to stay at home to keep an eye on Lara as Lara is now late....:rolleyes1:

Come on guys, what is wrong with you lot, you have some of your own committee attending this bbs meet no one is complaining about that! as for the local coordinator moaning about no one turning up i went to the asw meet that he arranged but he forgot to turn up! so whats the point in going if no one can be bothered, so i though this event was no longer happening and from my point of view i decided to go where the vast majority of people are heading to the Bristol meet!

I did not and I am the only committee member attending the BBS meet.
I do not feel I am being unsupportive to SWS the BBS meet was posted first and I agreed to go - its Kris's birthday tomorrow - we were supposed to be going to Trax, but cannot as we have the kids staying with us, therefore when the BBS meet was organised we decided to go along for a drink - notice I would not have ever been able to attend the SWS meet initially as I was off to Trax!
The SWS meet was not posted until 6 days later............................................. ..
This is not a deliberate slight against the club- I just organised to do something else first. As I have suggested before if we sorted out that DEFINITELY every first Sunday was a Bristol meet, every 3rd Friday was a Glos meet, etc you may not get this situation. Additionally, if meets were posted to give peeps plenty of notice this may not happen.
