Hi Guys,

Just a warning for people in the area,

My car got broken into last night,
but nothing was taken, the head unit, amps and speakers in the boot was all still there and the head unit even had the face on, ( stupid I know, but you just forget these things some times) so i think they just wanted the car nothing else I even left tools on the back seat.

Now I know the alarm wasn't armed as the battery was disconnected, because i started to do the head gaskets last night, and the car was in pieces,

but they broke the drivers door lock and the ignition barrell to try and start it,
but imagine the looks on their faces when they popped the bonnet and half the engine is missing, lol

I know if the alarm was armed that it might not of happened but it's the fact that nothing was nick that they just wanted the car is a bit worrying.

I put the inlet manifold and the alt./air con comp. in the boot and that was taken out and dumped on the floor, in all fairness if it wasn't for that i properly would of just walked straight pass it this morning and not noticed untill later.

I mean did they really think about trieing to fix it or just take the parts,

but at the end of the day nothing taken just some damage, so a lucky escape i think.

Cheers Rob

Lucky you

Maybe this would be the perfect solution... take head gasket with you whenever you leave the car

Good idea.. you could buy a spare head, and sit it on the drivers seat at night... they will think its in bits...

yeah I know I keep laughing to my self thinking about their faces when they tried to start it and then looked under the bonnet,

it takes the pain of the damage away, was thinking to just take the ecu out it only takes five mins.

but like i said they properly look on thought there's no alarm on it so broke in, might not happen if they can see the alarm is on, so will make sure it's on from now on.

cheers rob
