You've seen the thread, we need scoobies in and around the Bristol area, (Bath, Glos!!!) to help Ceri and her friends get to the prom @ Leigh Court on Friday 27th June 2008.


Picking up @ 6pm, arrival at prom @ 7pm after detour down Park Street!!

For all of you who are not advanced members, Ceri has got each of her friends to pay £5 each to confirm their attendance on Friday. I have suggested to the committee that this money be donated to the Charity Day Air Ambulance collection to kick start our fundraising! : )

Ceri's family are kindly helping to collect money from elsewhere too to bolster the total amount.

They are also contacting the local newspaper to hopefully get some coverage too! : )

I've just put this into route planner to give us a rough idea of where we're heading (including park street and across the bridge :cool: )

I honestly can't see it will take us an hour though (route planner says 15mins) so with traffic i'd say 1/2 hour max, so dont see we have to worry about rushing lol

down to by st mary redcliffe church, 1st exit, and then left and end of redcliffe bridge (by the Hole in the Wall pub), to the end turn right on lights into prince street, straight over round about at the end, towards boldwin street, turn left there and follow thru lights onto the centre, left hand lane pass the hippodrome, and then, onto college green for park street, and meet at college green, take lots of photos (: then up park street around the triangle, towards the vitoria rooms, left hand fork into queens road, follow thru barkly square?, untill T junction for regent street (clifton), turn right, up to the mini roundabout on the left, stop just before the brige to meet up (photosssss) then go acrosss all together, and my mum will take pics going across (:

&&&&&& my mum and dad have been in touch with the evening post, the women from there said that just as long as not alot is happening on that friday (e.g. no more terrorists are found in bristol) she and a photographer will be there !!

lol. okay, well, for the bristol scoobys who dont know the way, it'll probably make sense when we're going. im rubbish with roads and directions and i can picture the route in my mind (: so it's not hard to get lost or anything. & were going out now to find leigh court, so hopefully we should have a clear route by the end of this evening! (: & i think that my auntie said she'll go to the bridge and take pictures of us all going across (: if she turns up, the photos will be well good!

just got home from finding leigh court. it's really easy to get to, and when you drive up to the house it is lusshh! buuuut, there are millllionsssssss of speed bumps as you go down the very long drive way! so go careful if your cars are quite low! but it is nice (: and there are plenty of laybys to pull in and wait if anyone gets stuck on traffic lights near ashton court (:
