just wondering what the rules are to this, coz me and a mate are thnking of tuning up a cheap car for a bit of fun, got a golf gti an gonna put on a super charger on it, main thing were wondering is, does the car have to be moted etc, looked on street wars site an couldn't find anything.

I don't think so mate.

All they check is if the battery is safe and fixed and if your seat are fixed and safe :redface:

I guess you will have to put it on to a trailer to bring it in and i don't know what they would say then.

yeah we'll bring it on a trailer, we'll make sure everything is safe on it, think we'll just bring it, if the say we cant race it, we'll leave it in car park an watch,

Quite a few vehicles turn up on trailers. Its not a problem.
No mot or tax wouldn't be an issue either.
But if you want a chance at some of the trophies it will need to be on road legal tyres.
