Final details on the drag race series we are sponsoring at Dakota, Smeatharpe, Devon this year.
Five rounds for Japanese Performance cars, in three classes 4wd Fwd Rwd.
The top 8 from each class will be selected from the practice times in "run what you brung" on the morning of the event.
From 1.30 there will be a 30 minute window to enter, you must bring your time sheets from the morning sessions.
Advice is get there and get ready early!
The top 8 in each class will be selected from the fastest elapsed times.
It will cost £5 to enter. All entrants must display the sponsors decals (supplied) in a prominent position on each side of the car.
The top 8 from each class will run in any order. the fastest 4 will run again, based on elapsed times.
The fastest 2 from each class will RACE each other for the win, elapsed times only counting for the trophy which will be presented for the fastest car overall. The winners from each class will receive £40 prize money.
The prizes will be presented at the time of winning them, in front of the assembled crowd.
Rules are the cars must be Japanese cars with Japanese engines, road legal.
Points will be accumulated for the rounds, to count for awards at the last round. Points will be awarded for the top 8 upwards, so if you don't score well in the first round, you might in the second! Points will be 10 for top 8. 15 for top 4. 20 for top 2. 25 for winners.
Details of this will be posted throughout the series on www.enginetuner.co.uk - news page.
