I also use the free AVG. BUT
I have uninstalled my free AVG antivirus and purchased the AVG suite. As you know this includes a firewall and Spyware stuff.
Did another full scan and found 225 threats..

AVG have repaired/deleted/placed in Vault.

Yeh.......I paid originally. Guys said I was daft cos you get it for free on AVG.com NOT the AVG UK address.

Mind you......My laptop has been SO slow recently AND takes 5 mins to turn off so on advice I downloaded "Spybot Search & Destroy "...note- Not just Spybot but Spybot Search & Destroy. It's free and on loading it found 400 infected files plus a Passma Worm Virus. I clicked to cure and 20 mins later it was all done. Laptop is much quicker now AND I've Emailed AVG to ask them why they hadn't sorted the problem before now. Apparantly they're good at Anti-Virus but not so hot on Addware/Spyware (So I'm told)

You could try reg cure. It claims to sort out all sorts. I used it on several machines over the last year. That said it's just expired so I unistalle it and I'm not sure that there is any difference..
