Door panel removal?

What's the best way to remove the front interior door panel on a 2003 WRX?

Is it just clipped on?

I don't want to break anything by just pulling the thing off!

I know there are screws as well, one definately in the door handle, think you've got to remove the wing mirror plate too.

Look in the Advanced members area and open the work shop manuals.

Find the pdf.file for door panel removal in the interior section.

The worst part is getting the door handle surround off without breaking it.

The switch panels have to be levered up to reveal a screw. You will have to disconnect the wiring plugs to fully remove the door panel.

The outside edge is held on with clips which just pull off.

Start at the lower front edge if I remember correctly.

You wont need too remove the mirror backing plate(just pulls off)to remove door panel but it is much easier to replace with the mirror plate off.
