Hello all, I Have noticed SWS have had a few new members from the Wiltshire area, this includes myself as I only joined 6 months ago. I was wondering if anyone would be interested in a meet around this way as there does not seem to be many, I don't mind sorting out a venue etc, but I need to see if ther would be any interest first.

If you are interested post on this thread, the more the merrier.

Cheers,
Jamie.

There is one for Wiltshire next weekend mate.

We were going to have one in Chippenham, but we never got round to it.

Yes but it dosent seem to get the interest that others do!, Were is the link for that, I can't see it, being a bit blind I think!

I would be up for one in the wiltshire area, Brian and I were mentioning it on a different thread...there must be a few of us from around that area on the site..Swindon, Chippenham etc

Unfortunatly I work a lot of weekends and weird shifts..(:mad:in work now)

But if someone wanted to set something up and gave a bit of advance notice I would be up for it:party0040:

I was thinking that too, but we shall see what happens, i've found a venue with a nice big car park and it's easy to find!

RESULT= only saw the posts when I went into work and by then the meets had already happened and I just sat there looking at the photos

sounds good for u guys and I'm sure some of us from other places would come along if we could make it! : )

We go to the SIDC meets in Swindon from time to time and the ASW meets for this site 2! : )

The ASW is closer but it's still a bit of a trek for me, it's just an idea i'm bouncing about to see how much interest there would be!

Went to the spotted cow the other day, SIDC had a meet on....:party0040:

Spoke to one of them outside and lol..."sorry mate you could come and speak to us but you have got your kids with you, this is for grown up scooby owners only"

hence I left there after eating the meal....I own scooby cos I like the car...the guy that I spoke too made me feel like I had done something wrong cos i had kids and wasn't willing too boy race,

I would rather meet people off this site that are genuine than boy racers...
sorry Scoobywrc...I know you are not all the same ...but it didn't make a first good impression with me:mad:

I tak my better half and my little lad to every daytime meet, so do most others I think. It's like a family gathering rather than a boy racers club! I have said this before this club is a damn site freindlier than most others.

no offence taken mate:smile: - we didn't go this Friday as we had the kids, but I think that attitude was a one off!!

most people only own a scoob cos they have kids!!!!!:sign0191:

I know i would b runnin a 2 seater like a lotus exige or 350z if I didn't have the kids!

SWS meets r usually geared for everyone so if u have kids they r welcome too!:sign0191: Harty brought there two lovely daughters to our meet in Glos last week!

he walked over to black old shaped WRX, big spoiler....pink badge..17 inch black alloys
he stated that this is a reals mans Car.. I told my kids to get inside mine and as soon as they had got inside he started sying too his mate,,,wot a ****.etc

I would not have minded at all but...
If my kids were not there I would have actually shoved his head up his own exhaust
and
I was taking my Mrs out in a car that she disapproved of..after being in it she loved it.
.but then we felt like we were buying baggage with it..Dont want to know plonkers like that..

yeah a swindon pub:redface:

I live in the town, never been spoken too like it before..

:biggrin:normal saying is "nice car mate"

I know not all people are like that, unfortunatly SIDC is one the most heard of...
didn't do the car any favours in my eyes or the families that we were with
=
hence I have become a member of this site..

i am sure when I come too one of these meets I will feel welcome and as i am pretty sure that we are there for the car .not our egos

ASW meets are always friendly......especially if Bob is there

Seriously, come along to one (Next one is this Sunday coming) Im not going, because I hope to have had this baby by then! But we should be at the next one

They get busier during the summer months, and ASW usually pulls in around 15 cars a month
